Maori Koru pattern - By Room 10

Room 10 have been investigating the Maori Koru pattern. 
The children worked in pairs and designed a facial pattern for each other.  They experimented with being able to transfer a 2 dimensional design on to the curved surface of the face.  The painting session created a great deal of fun discussion amongst the class. 

As you can see from the photos the children had a great time.
