Room 4's Jandal Art
Room 4 - Year 3 and 4
This art is loosely based on the poem ‘My Other Jandal’ by Don Franks and we have incorporated into our Cruising around the pacific (Beach attire).
The children designed their own pair of jandals and decorated them. The background is painted using the dragging technique and then some have sprinkled sand for texture. The Jandals are made from card , painted and then designs drawn using sharpie or felt. They are then hot glued onto the background.
Have you seen my other jandal?
I had it just before.
It shouldn’t be too hard to find –
It’s somewhere on the shore.
It disappeared all by itself
When I was in the waves,
And that’s the way my other jandal
Usually behaves
