Banking
In 2003 the National Bank and Ellerslie School started up a school banking programme. Senior students from school went through an application and interview process to train as bank tellers – providing a school-wide service encouraging students to create accounts and save! It has continued on to be a great success. In 2008 the school bank tellers have been working hard along-side National Bank staff. To apply for the positions as tellers, students needed to have excellent customer service skills and have an interest in mathematics.
