Trees for Survival
We have been learning about trees… Why do we need them? What can they be used for? Who else needs them? If trees are so important, what can we do to look after them?We are helping by raising seedlings in our shade house. We planted them out on the school’s hill area. This is an area that is prone to erosion. As they grow, their roots will hold the land together. The trees will also provide homes and food for many bird and insects. Mercury Energy have helped us with this new project. Everyone in the school got a tree or plant to plant out in our school’s new enviro-garden.
