The Board of Trustees of Ellerslie School has an Enrolment Scheme in place which states that all children who live within the School Zone will be accepted. The Zone is as set out on the Ministry of Education’s website - http://www.schoolzones.co.nz/enrolmentzones/ 

Acceptance of Out-of-Zone students is dictated by current and predicted student numbers and may vary year on year.  

The Board of Trustees have made their decision and we will not be accepting out of zone enrolments for 2012.  The Board of Trustees reviews this policy on an annual basis and the timing of the next review will be around August 2012 for the 2013 school year.

Communication of the Board’s decision will be made on the School website following this review

·         All enrolments must be accompanied by Birth Certificate or Passport as proof of age and residency. All in-zone applicants are guaranteed places.
·         Applications for enrolment can be made before their 5th Birthday but children start school on the Monday after their 5th birthday.
·         Applications for 2012 New Entrants will only be taken up to a date early in September 2011.
