Your support of our fundraising efforts to date means we will have a large sandpit built (past the Technology room) before the end of term three!
There will be toys for the children to use as well.
The area will be cordoned off from Monday week 7 until completed.
Thanks to Caleb Angell for giving his time to build the sandpit!
Ellerslie School Book Fair
Ellerslie School Fundraising Group is having a Book Fair in term one, 2018.
At this stage, we are asking our parent/caregiver community to please have a sort through all your pre-loved books (all genres of books welcome!) CDs, DVDs and puzzles that you may like to donate for our fair.
These items need to be in very good condition, with no pages or parts missing, scratches, or visible markings to ensure that we are selling good quality merchandise for our customers on the day.
Have a chat with your relatives, friends and neighbours and see if they have any pre-loved items they would like to donate too!
The teachers have a collection box in their pods (one for each guardian group). Students can bring in their books/CDs/DVDs/puzzles and pop them into their guardian group collection box from WEEK 7 TUESDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER.
We will have members from the Fundraising Group at school each Monday (starting week 8 Monday 11th September) to sort the books but students can bring their goods all through each week.
This collection process will continue throughout the rest of this term, term four and term one 2018 right up until the week of the book fair.
More detailed information on the Book Fair day itself is to come!
Sunday 10 September
We will be selling candy floss and having a Fairy and Pirate hair decorating stall again this year, at the annual Ellerslie Fairy Festival and Pirate Party.
We need many volunteers for this event as we have three stalls. If you would like to help us out on the day between 9.30 and 12.30 please contact us via email to register your interest.
Terms 3 and 4
During term 3, students at Ellerslie School will create a beautiful piece of art which can be made into affordable calendars, cards, mouse mats, note-pads and diaries. These make unique Christmas gifts for family and friends and are perfect for posting overseas.
Mufti day is $2 donation per child.
Pizza is $2 per slice. Children have a choice between ham & cheese or cheese & tomato toppings.
Term three : Thursday 28 September
Term four : Tuesday 12 December

We need a new co-ordinateor for the Vodafone Warriors car parking for 2018. The co-ordinator's role includes:
- recruiting volunteers
- creating a roster for the volunteers
- liaising with the body corporate who own the car park.
The games are from March to September each year, with around 10 home games per season at Mt Smart Stadium.
This is a simple role that raises a lot of money for our school; it is our BIGGEST earner outside of our school community.
What's involved for our volunteers in 2018?
The fundraising group’s role is to raise money for Ellerslie School. All proceeds go towards various special projects or equipment that the school requires as set out by the Board of Trustees. Our school receives funding from the Ministry of Education for the basics required for educating our children, however this doesn’t cover any extras needed. Our group raises funds to enable the school to provide our children with more.
All funds raised by the fundraising group go towards our school and therefore our children.
